the experience

My first part of working with a new wedding couple is hopping on a phone call to learn about your dream wedding, talk about how my wedding workflow works and start planning together with vendor recommendations and timeline reviewing.

Once you're booked in, I'll send over a few documents to really get the nitty gritty about your big day. This helps me plan a timeline specifically to maximize photos while still allowing you to relax and create a day that feels true to you and your loved ones.

Something I encourage for all my couples (and include in all non-elopement packages) is a pre-wedding engagement shoot. Not only is it important to capture this moment in your life, but it ensures we can learn to work with eachother, make sure we're a good fit, and make me coming on-site on your big day feel like you're meeting with an old friend and not a stranger or typical vendor.

You'll likely spend more time with your photographer than any other wedding vendor. It's important you want to spend 8+ hours with me.

My workflow prioritizes authentic and candid moments over editorial and styled photographs. For most of the day, I'll be watching the day as it unfolds and capturing special memories without directing them.

Some moments, like portraits, family formals and special requests will require posing or planning. For images like these, I like to focus on prompt-based poses that help you loosen up and photograph as true to you as possible.

Besides taking photos, I'll be a laid-back and detail oriented time-keeper. Ensuring you're gently focused and on time removes stress and helps you look calm and grounded in pictures.

I take pride in being prepared for anything - from my "oh shit kit" with everything you could think of needing to a playlist loaded for getting ready energy and hyping up your dance floor, to a versatile bag of equipment for all locations and lighting. You're in good hands.

Sometimes you need a photographer, but sometimes you also need your vendors to step out of that role and into a dress-holder, wine-pourer, shoulder-to-cry-on, dancing partner or friend. I'm here to serve you and your guests in whichever way is needed on your day.

Most of your vendors will be done on your wedding day and often even before your wedding ever happens.

Your photographer will spend just as much time behind the scenes as they do on-site. I edit your photos in a film-inspired, light and true-to-life fashion to make sure that your day is memorialized for generations to come exactly as you remember it.

All wedding clients will receive a digital gallery with the ability to share with friends and family.

With so many cloud-based and digital storage options, many people have lost touch with the magic of film. I encourage all of my clients to invest in print - through albums, traditional prints, canvases or custom-products.

I ensure all images are calibrated to work with my print shop of choice to ensure the highest-quality and most true-to-life prints as possible. All packages include complimentary album design.

Investing in print is one of the most important gifts you can give to yourself. Your wedding photos will be cherished for generations to come and they deserve to be in printed with care.

Hello! I'm Lauren

I'm a wedding photographer for couples who are equal parts goofy and romantic - who just want their wedding day to be the absolute best party possible (in whatever way feels most authentic for you and your loved ones)!

I love to give couples the tools they need to plan, execute and remember their special day in the most authentic and romanticized way possible.

I believe in capturing your wedding day exactly as is - the laughter, the tears, the chaos and (most importantly) the love.

My images are candid, true-to-life and prioritize a timeless and film-inspired look to make sure that your wedding photos don't feel "trendy" or lose their magic. You will carry these photos with you for generations.

Don't worry that the hopeless romantic in me will serve you with a boring wedding vendor. I love to party almost as much as I love love. I'll spend my time dancing with grandma, encouraging the chaos and be the best hype woman you've ever had. Your vendors should feel like an extension of your friends on your big day.

so nice to meet you!
