For the first time. For the last time (you deserve a life-long kinda self-love). Fall in love with your body. Fall in love with your mind.
Boudoir is for everyone. It’s for all bodies, all genders, and all ages. There is no perfect time to do it - and there is no right or wrong way to approach your session. Wear your favourite hoodie or nothing at all.
Boudoir is all about you. Through this session, you’ll see yourself through my eyes (and trust me, you’re perfection exactly as you are) - and in an environment that has been designed to empower you completely.
Lauren was amazing to work with, this was my first ever boudoir shoot and she made me feel beyond comfortable, she eased my worries and made me feel beautiful! I would highly recommend her to anyone considering a boudoir shoot or anything else for that matter. I will definitely be doing it again!

Lauren did a boudoir photoshoot for me, she is very professional, kind and make me feel comfortable. She helped with all the posing, where to look, fixed my hair, which I think means a lot in a photographer. The photos turned out amazing, will be booking again!

get ready
With your boudoir session booked, it’s time to prepare for it. I’d recommend treating yourself to activities or routines that make you feel beautiful inside and out. Dance in your kitchen to your favourite song, call your bestie, try a new lipstick colour - whatever helps you feel confident and powerful. The day of your shoot, I encourage you to bring some outfit options and arrive makeup-less! All boudoir sessions come with professional makeup application.
Get Ready
Rock it
The last thing to do when getting a boudoir session is to enjoy the process! Sink in to the experience, and approach it with an open-mind knowing that the person behind the camera is 100% on your side. Give yourself permission to open up, and squeeze every bit of self-loving joy out of your session.

I’M SELF-CONSCIOUS ABOUT A SPECIFIC BODY PART, IS THAT OK?
I HAVE NEVER DONE BOUDOIR. DO YOU HELP WITH POSING?
I USE A MOBILITY DEVICE. CAN WE WORK TOGETHER?
WILL ANYONE ELSE BE IN THE ROOM WITH US?
DO I NEED TO BRING MY OWN LINGERIE?
WILL MY PHOTOS BE SHARED ONLINE?
No, of course not. I will always offer you the opportunity to work with a makeup artist, as it’s included in the cost of all boudoir sessions - but it’s absolutely not required. In fact, I love the idea of honouring your natural beauty in all it’s glory. Remember, these sessions are about you and I care deeply about consent. You will NEVER have to anything you aren’t comfortable with.

I absolutely do. There are a million tricks in my book that will help me coach you into positions that are universally flattering. I’m always happy to provide extra encouragement and have been known to even “show” you the poses myself before I ask you to get into them! As much as posing is important - my boudoir sessions exist to capture your natural beauty, not begin your contortionist training. You are always invited to relax and move your body in a way that feels good.

I think everyone feels this way at some point in their lives. There’s a LOT of pressure in society to look a certain way, and I do my very best to make sure that when you enter your session, some of that stress melts away. Sharing a bit of detail about your insecurity (and how it tends to manifest through photos for you) can help me understand how we can create images you’ll absolutely adore.

I would be honoured to work with you and your device! When booking our boudoir location, I’ll ensure the space is completely accessible for you. Unless you have a specific concept in mind, your session doesn’t need to be different because you have a mobility device.

I USE A MOBILITY DEVICE. CAN WE WORK TOGETHER?
Only if you want to wear lingerie at your session. Lots of folks choose to wear their partner’s oversized t-shirt, lounge wear, or their favourite bra and undies (or even just go bare!) If you do want to wear lingerie - you need to bring your own to our session. I always recommend bringing a few outfit options!

Not unless you bring them and specifically request it. I care about your privacy and making sure this experience is yours, and yours alone. If you would feel more comfortable with your partner or best friend in attendance - we can do that. Rest assured that unless you’ve invited them, we’ll be the only ones in the room.

I will always ask whether or not you are comfortable with your boudoir session being part of my portfolio. I take your answer extremely seriously. Many folks say no, and that is totally within their right. Your images will NEVER be shared online without your written consent.

As a boudoir photographer, I feel it’s important I understand how it feels to be on the other side of the camera. My own boudoir experienced changed my life - and it’s exactly why I am so proud to offer these intensely powerful sessions to my clients.
I experienced a lot of body issues growing up, and had a difficult relationship with my body into my twenties. I struggled to see my own beauty, and that feeling seeped into so many aspects of my life. Thinking back to my mindset then - the idea of doing my OWN boudoir would have terrified me.
I booked myself a boudoir session about a year into offering boudoir to my own clients. This session helped understand that no matter how comfortable you are (or how much fun you’re having) - boudoir is an intimate, vulnerable, and deeply human experience. It’s not possible without an unwavering respect for your client, and should always be guided by affirmative consent. It also taught me that when it comes to boudoir, all you have to do is show up for yourself. With love. With kindness.
I’m proud to be guided by all these lessons. I’m proud to have done it for myself.
