Consider me your resident bad joke teller, gin snob, ocean-obsessed, golden retriever loving, true crime binger-watcher, cheese aficionado, coffee-addicted, 4"11 trail hiker, wannabe world traveller.
Born and raised in New Brunswick, I've lived in all 3 of the big cities - Saint John, Moncton and currently Fredericton. I spend my days as a web content strategist and photographer for Tourism New Brunswick. There isn't a city in all of NB I haven't visited or taken photos in - I can find us a cool spot to shoot no matter where you want to go.
I started my photography journey in 2020 when I launched my food blog, Maritime Glutton. I saw how competitive food blogging was and knew I had to bring more to the table. When I started branching out to shooting for restaurants, I realized that shooting chef portraits was my favourite part of the work - so I slowly started offering portrait photography, branding photography and eventually wedding photography.
Some people are naturally gifted artists. Although I think all good photographers have that "natural gift" - the best photographers commit to life-long learning, sustained growth and stepping out of their comfort zone.
I take pride in being a multi-niched photographer with diverse experience in commercial production, traditional education, shadowing and a curious mind,
I'm committed to constantly pushing my creative boundaries, learning wherever possible, and always trying something new.
Many photographers will show up for your day, stay professionally distant and not get too attached.
The best images are captured when there's trust and understanding on both sides of the camera.
I make a point to get to know my clients, what's important to them and their loved ones and connect a little bit more than "necessary". This helps me capture moments others may miss, and allows me to find moments of connection between you and your loved ones.
Photography is by nature a vulnerable exchange between artist and muse.
I pride myself on creating an environment where all clients feel welcome and safe to be vulnerable.
The best images will always come from a photographer who allows and even encourages you to come exactly as you are. Judgement-free.
In return, I will always practice what I preach and allow myself to come to my clients as I am to encourage the same from them.
I will always encourage you to shamelessly indulge in the things that bring you joy, not things that you think should bring you joy.
If you want to ignore conventional "rules" for your wedding and tailor your day to you - I will always enthusiastically say yes.
Want a first look? We're on it. Don't want to have a dance? Say less. Is your dream wedding attire a flannel shirt with a blunt in hand? It's your day.
Stop worrying about what others will think and do what feels good.
